FOLLOWING ARE THE GOODREADS SYNOPSIS, SO ALL CREDITS GOES TO GOODREADS TEAM.

1. CROWNS OF CROSWALD:

In Croswald, the only thing more powerful than dark magic is one secret…
For sixteen years Ivy Lovely has been hidden behind an enchanted boundary that separates the mundane from the magical. When Ivy crosses the border, her powers awaken. Curiosity leads her crashing through a series of adventures at the Halls of Ivy, a school where students learn to master their magical blood and the power of Croswald’s mysterious gems. When Ivy’s magic––and her life––is threatened by the Dark Queen, she scrambles to unearth her history and save Croswald before the truth is swept away forever.

2. A FIREFLY IN THE DARK:

‘By turns terrifying and amusing, this is not a book you want to read before you go to sleep. Or maybe you do…’—Jerry Pinto
Sharmeen’s life is disrupted when, after an unexpected tragedy, she moves into her Nani’s rambling ancestral bungalow with her family. She hates this new life: her mother, Aliya, and Nani fight constantly; her new schoolmates bully her; and the family retainer, her loving Aziz Bhai, suddenly becomes dominating. The only place where Sharmeen finds solace is the world of Nani’s fantastical stories: tales of Jinn, shapeshifters and other dastardly creatures. But slowly, unseen forces that had lain dormant for centuries start to awaken. Sharmeen meets her own personal Jinn, the prankster Jugnu, who reveals her family’s history, a pact one of her ancestors made with the Jinn-world, and also some not-so-good news—and Sharmeen realizes that it is up to her to rescue the adults in her life…
Mysterious, magical and moving, A Firefly in the Dark is a page-turner and a work of fantasy and soaring imagination that will delight readers of all ages.

3. SALT AND PEPPER:

‘Salt and Pepper’ reveals life as experienced by a young Bangladeshi girl, Ranya. She is six at the beginning, living in Dubai with her doctor father, singer mother and older siblings. We follow her trials and tribulations at school and at home and her moves to Bangladesh and London.
Her family life is disturbing. Ranya is at times treated as a slave and suffers abuse from her father; her mother is too self-absorbed and cruel to be of any help. The only hope for her is to escape to London as a teenager to live with her brother and his family, but her troubles don’t end there. Bhaiyya, though at times kindly, is also steeped in misogynistic tradition.
Will Ranya find fulfilment through.

4. A FAMILIAR HAZE:

The book is a collection of free verse poetry. And it’s written in a fluid form. It explores the ways our thoughts and emotions work. How they try to find answers in tragedy and human strength. It walks through dark alleys of life but there’s always a palpable silver lining lingering at the borders.

5. Ms. MULLIGAN AND THE ENCHANTED ICE-CREAM:

Ms. Mulligan lives a charmed life. Literally.
Tabby Easterland wakes on her twelfth birthday to find herself magically transformed into the twenty-five-year-old “Ms. Mulligan,” an event witnessed only by her young friends – the platinum-haired southern belle Dolly Hargrave and the hard-boiled urban detective wannabe Kat Dorsett. Hiding her true identity, Ms. Mulligan becomes a teacher at her own school, where a desperate search for answers lead the girls to seek out Tabby’s long-lost father, discover an ancient mystical society, and fight the evil Black and White Sisters–witches determined to complete a long-planned curse upon Tabby. In a race against time, will love be enough to overcome the crippling curse and restore Tabby to her former self?
Although ripe with humor, romance, and thrills, Ms. Mulligan ultimately reveals something deeper – Tabby’s surprising discovery of inner strength and the bonds of love that persevere even amid the darkest of threats.

6. RIVEN:

Which reality would you choose? Seventeen year-old Emily’s dad is in prison for securities fraud and her mom’s strung-out on pain meds, leaving Emily to parent herself and her younger brothers and sister. She’s got things mostly under control until a couple weeks before Dad’s release, when voices start whispering in her head, and Gabe, the hot lifeguard at the pool, notices the strange brands engraved on her arm…the ones she’s trying desperately to hide. Emily doesn’t know how the symbols got there or what they mean. They appeared overnight and now they’re infected and bleeding. She’s pretty sure she’s losing her mind. Stress, insomnia, and her wounded egos drive Emily to self-medicate, which has to be why the nightmares from her childhood have resurfaced, why they’re commandeering her conscious even when she’s awake. It has to be why the fairytale creatures she created as a little girl insist they need her help. Triggered by the return of her childhood abuser and unable to cope with reality, Emily slips completely inside her elaborate fantasy world. She’s powerful in the First Realm, maybe even more powerful than her attacker. It would be so easy to stay there, to lose herself in enchantment…to lose herself in love. But something sinister lurks in the forest shadows. Emily soon discovers her demons have followed her inside her fairytale. They’re hunting her. With the help of the Fae, she frantically searches for the weapons she needs to defeat her greatest fears and escape back to reality before the man who tortured her can prey on her younger brothers and sister, too. Time is running out…

7. SECRET KEEPER (BOOK#2 OF RIVEN):

Seventeen year-old Emily has accepted the truth of her past trauma and made peace with her battered egos. She’s won the first battle…barely…but the war in her psyche still rages. The same day Mom is released from rehab and Emily finishes detox, Dad announces he’s ready to be a family again, throwing Emily into panic. Determined to protect her younger brothers and sister from Dad, she gathers the strength to do the hardest thing she’s ever done: speak her Secret.
But it isn’t enough. Nobody will intervene. Emily is more alone and helpless than ever. Her therapist suggests that the key to resolving her crises lies within the mysterious First Realm, where Emily has access to her Fae abilities and where she can find her Champion…the one person with enough power to end the destructive cycle of abuse and help Emily transform from victim to survivor.
Desperate for guidance, Emily returns to the First Realm only to discover the Seven Kingdoms in total chaos. She has just a few days to find her Champion before Dad comes for her. Can she complete her task and return to the Second Realm in time to save her family, or will her dreaded premonition turn out to be true: that she is her own worst enemy?

8. LIGHT BLUE JUMPER:

A motley crew of rebels fighting a losing battle against an interplanetary despotic regime bump into a Zaaronian with mysterious powers. Could he be the prophesied messiah come to lead them to victory? He has no such plans; he has job security at the IPF and the Universe being in peril doesn’t worry him as much as the thought of being unemployed.

Join the cast of this comedy of errors set in space as they rally behind a most reluctant hero to fight oppression, imperialism, and bad manners.
